Contribute to the Wild West Country Project - Donations are Tax Deductable!

Letter reproduced from the Kern River Courier

Dear Kern River Courier:

We want to thank you for the excellent coverage you gave of the four screenings of the first episode of Wild West Country, January 11 – 14 at the Reel Cinema in Wofford Heights. We also want to thank the entire community for the outpouring of support the project has received. It was a joy for us to share the fruits of several years of hard work with all of you who have helped so much to bring Bob Powers’ work to the big screen as well as those of you who simply love this history.

During the screenings and after, many folks asked if they could make contributions to the project. At the time of the screenings we were unprepared to accept donations. Now we are happy to announce that the Kern River Valley Educational and Cultural Foundation (Chuck White, President) has agreed to accept donations on behalf of the Wild West Country project. The foundation’s mission is to support and promote the growth of post secondary education and to enhance the cultural environment in the Kern River Valley. Because the KRVECF is a not-for-profit organization, contributions to Wild West Country are fully tax deductable.

Anyone wishing to make a tax deductable contribution to Wild West Country may do so by sending a check or money order made out to Kern River Valley Educational and Cultural Foundation, P.O. Box 405, Kernville, CA 93238. Please clearly indicate FOR WWC PROJECT in the memo section of the check or money order. All donations will be anonymous unless otherwise indicated. Please include your return address in order to receive an official receipt for the deduction from the foundation. Questions can be answered by Chuck White, president of the foundation, at 379-0764.

Once again we wish to express our deepest appreciation for the way this project has been supported by everyone. On to Episode Two.
